OPTICAL QUARTZ GLASS - No loss of purity due to cable length
AV fiber optic conductors eliminate several forms of degradation that occur due to cable length.
4K/8K
AudioQuest 18 Gbps High Speed HDMI Cables have the bandwidth needed for video up to 8K/30 (8-bit, 4:2:0), which is a resolution of 7680 x 4320 (over 33 million pixels) at up to 30 frames per second (fps). 24 and 30 frames per second are the frame rates for almost all movies and many television shows.
BANDWIDTH 18 Gbps
All AudioQuest 18 Gbps High Speed HDMI cables have the guaranteed 18 Gbps bandwidth required for compelling features like 8K/30 video, HDR (High Dynamic Range) images, and eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel).
4. NOISE EXTRACTION LEVEL (HDMI): GALVANIC ISOLATION + DIRECTIONAL CONTROL
Traditional "100% shielding" is not enough to protect against the increasingly widespread effects of Wi-Fi, cellular, and satellite radiation. In AudioQuest HDMI cables, all 19 conductors are oriented to reduce performance-damaging RF noise by "directing" or directing it away from the most vulnerable circuitry. Noise-dampening Level 4 features fibers that are non-conductive and therefore immune to induced RF noise, while eARC and control conductors are made of metals with controlled directionality. Additional noise-dampening techniques (Levels 4+ and above) are used as budget permits to further reduce noise.
eARC
Previous HDMI hardware ARC capabilities maxed out at 5.1-channel lossy (compressed) surround sound. Not only do all generations of AudioQuest HDMI "with Ethernet" cables support ARC, but to ensure superior audio performance, the ARC channel pair of conductors is internally controlled for directionality, running in the opposite direction of the 4 pairs that carry information to the TV. New HDMI 2.1 hardware supports Enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC), which dramatically increases bandwidth to support uncompressed, lossless, high-resolution multi-channel audio, including Dolby TrueHD and Atmos, as well as DTS-HD Master Audio and DTS:X.
HDR
AudioQuest 18 Gbps High Speed HDMI Cables support High Dynamic Range (HDR) and Dynamic HDR. HDR content expands the contrast of an image for darker blacks and brighter whites/highlights, as well as greater color saturation and brightness. Dynamic HDR (such as HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision) allows HDR to be optimized on a per-image basis rather than HDR settings that are set for the entire program.
