SOPHISTICATED HORN AND UPDATED TREATMENT
The 1″ LTS (Linear Travel Suspension) tweeter features a vented enclosure to reduce standing waves that can compromise sound quality. The signature Tractrix® horn it’s built into has an expanded mouth for better soundstage and directivity. This means a wider “sweet spot” overall and better imaging within that sweet spot. The horn also features a soft silicone surface and a unique phase plug to maintain smooth tones.

UPGRADING DRIVERS UNDER THE COVER
Metal speakers are nothing new to Klipsch, but the company has significantly improved the motor structures behind the 500M II cone. The 5-1/4″ woofer uses a 70% larger voice coil for greater control, speed, and precision. The woofers also feature new aluminum short rings that help reduce distortion and allow the speakers to handle some extra power.

PORTABLE CABINET FOR DEEP BASS
The speakers feature rear-firing Tractrix ports that help deepen the bass response of each speaker. The horn-shaped port design promotes more efficient airflow into and out of the cabinet, reducing port noise and low-frequency distortion.
That's why you don't want to place them against a wall. Instead, we recommend giving the speakers some "breathing room" by placing them slightly away from the wall. Their bass response will thank you.
