KLIPSCH KLIPSCHORN AK7 – WHERE DID IT ALL BEGUN?
The Klipschorn AK7 represents the origin and pinnacle of high-performance home audio. It is the first speaker designed by Paul W. Klipsch and the longest-running continuously produced model in the history of home audio. It was designed with a clear goal: to bring the power, dynamics and emotion of a concert hall directly to your living room. The new generation of the AK7 retains the legendary DNA while introducing modern acoustical improvements for even more accurate and natural sound.
➡️ THREE-SYSTEM, FULLY HORNED DESIGN
WHAT IS THE KLIPSCHORN AK7? The Klipschorn AK7 is a 3-way, fully horn-loaded loudspeaker with exceptional efficiency. Each speaker driver is precisely matched to its horn and optimized for a specific frequency range. The result is exceptional sound power even at low amplifier power, crystal-clear sound and minimal distortion across the entire frequency range.
➡️ ADVANCED HIGH AND MID-RANGE
The K-771 MID-RANGE COMPRESSION DRIVER with an extended phase plug provides wider dispersion and exceptionally clear highs without phase anomalies. The NEW K-1133-HP 3” MID-RANGE COMPRESSION DRIVER delivers greater sonic energy, more dynamics and richer presentation in the vocal range. The PATENTED TRACTRIX® MID-RANGE HORN K-406M with MUMPS technology ensures even room coverage and precise sound imaging.
➡️ AUTHORITY BASS WITHOUT COMPROMISE
A fully enclosed woofer horn combined with the legendary 15” K-33-E woofer delivers deep, fast and extremely controlled bass. The stacked horn construction increases efficiency and extends the low-frequency response, allowing the Klipschorn to deliver bass that is both powerful, precise and extremely natural.
➡️ READY FOR ACTIVE DSP CROSSOVER
The Klipschorn AK7 is also designed for use with the optional Heritage Active Crossover, tuned by Roy Delgado, longtime collaborator and successor to the PWK vision. The active DSP provides perfect time and phase alignment, precise EQ, and neutral, reference-grade sound reproduction. The redesigned I/O board allows for passive and active use and elegant integration into any system.
✨ AN ICON MADE FOR GENERATIONS
The Klipschorn AK7 is more than just a speaker – it's a piece of audio history. Handcrafted in the USA, with timeless design and uncompromising construction, it's built for decades of listening and for anyone who wants the absolute pinnacle of home audio.
