NEW TWEETER FOR CLEAR AND LOUD HIGHS
Your home theater system is only as good as your center channel speaker, as it's the one that reproduces almost all of the dialogue in a movie or TV show. Klipsch has made some remarkable adjustments to the RP-404C II tweeter to ensure that center channel effects and vocals are clear and precise.
The 1-inch LTS (Linear Travel Suspension) tweeter features a vented enclosure that reduces standing waves that can degrade sound quality. The Tractrix® housing it is housed in has an enlarged mouth for better soundstage and directivity. It also features a soft silicone surface and a unique phase plug that ensures that high tones are smooth and free of distortion.
BETTER AND MORE POWERFUL BASS SOUNDERS
On either side of the center tweeter are two 4-inch Ceremetallic woofers. These speakers add punch to center channel sound effects like explosions and help reproduce voices in the lower frequencies. Metallic woofers are nothing new to Klipsch speakers, but the company has significantly improved the motor structures behind the cones.
Each woofer uses a 70% larger voice coil for greater control, speed and precision. The woofers also feature new aluminum sealing rings that help reduce distortion and allow the speakers to handle a little more power.
RENOVATED AND SEALED SPEAKER CABINET
Where and how you place your center channel speaker is important. But sometimes the ideal spot isn't always available. Klipsch designed the 404C II in a sealed enclosure so you can place it almost anywhere.
