eARC: 0.5% SILVER + LEVEL 1 NOISE DISSIPATION
Because sound matters, the eARC conductors in AudioQuest's 48 Series HDMI cables get the same love and affection, featuring the same premium metals, directional control conductors, and noise-cancelling technologies as the main AV data pairs. In AudioQuest eARC-Priority cables, the main A/V data pairs feature Cinnamon-level performance (Forest 48 solid 0.5% silver + carbon and 48 Level-3 vodka noise cancellation), while the eARC data pair and Ground-Reference lead utilize all of the same advanced design components as their "48" counterparts. HDMI Audio Return Channel (ARC) sends audio from your TV to your soundbar or AV receiver for greater simplicity and flexibility in system setup. Previous ARC hardware capabilities max out at 5.1-channel lossy (compressed) surround sound. Today's HDMI 2.1 hardware supports enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC), which dramatically increases digital bandwidth to support uncompressed, lossless, high-resolution multi-channel audio, including Dolby TrueHD and Atmos, as well as DTS-HD Master Audio and DTS:X.
BANDWIDTH 48 Gbps
AudioQuest “48” HDMI cables can carry up to professional 10K Ultra-HD video. The 48 Gbps bandwidth is enabled by 4 balanced audio/video pairs capable of 12 Gbps each. The precision and tighter manufacturing tolerances required to produce HDMI cables capable of carrying up to 48 Gbps of bandwidth mean that many of AudioQuest’s proven components and techniques are more important than ever.
8K/10K
AudioQuest 48 Gbps HDMI cables have the bandwidth required for video up to 10K resolution and resolutions/refresh rates up to 8K/60 and 4K/120. All AudioQuest HDMI cables are fully backward compatible with existing 4K displays.
LEVEL 1 NOISE EXTRACTION (HDMI): DIRECTIONAL CONTROL
This is the foundation of AudioQuest's noise-cancelling technologies. Traditional "100% shielding" is not enough to protect against the increasingly pervasive effects of Wi-Fi, cellular, and satellite radiation. In AudioQuest HDMI cables, all 19 conductors are oriented to reduce performance-damaging RF noise by "directing" or directing it away from the most vulnerable circuitry. Additional noise-cancelling techniques (Level 2 and above) are used as budget permits to further reduce noise.
